Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Primary Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment where students can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Work as the lead adult with a group of children to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and the effective management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

Responsibilities:

• Teach across areas within the curriculum.
• Take responsibility for the progress of a class.
• Organise the classroom and learning resources and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment.
• Plan, prepare and present lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
• Maintain discipline within the class utilising the school’s Behaviour Policy.
• Ensure that pupils are safe and that all child protection and safeguarding measures are followed in accordance with school and national policies.
• Provide feedback to parents and carers on a pupil’s progress at parents’ evenings and other meetings.
• Co-ordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum and support colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
• Provide a detailed handover of work completed and progress in class if working on a daily basis.
• Work with other teachers, teaching assistants and other relevant professionals to plan and co-ordinate work and Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly.
• Meet with other professionals, such as education welfare officers and educational psychologists, if required.
• Provide detailed regular feedback on pupil’s achievement, progress and misunderstandings etc.
• Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with the established policy and Establish constructive relationships with parents and carers.
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
• Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals, to support achievement and progress of pupils

Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant subject area.
• Proven experience teaching primary students, preferably in a UK school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and effective teaching pedagogies.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual student needs.
• Positive attitude, resilience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students.
